The Global Gallery

 

Hello, incredible global artists! 

We hope this email finds you well and that you are having a restful winter break. The Global Brown Center is delighted to announce a fantastic opportunity to feature our lovely artists by spotlighting some of your work in our lounge. 

We are thrilled to announce… The Global Gallery is now accepting submissions! If selected, your work will be displayed in the Global Brown Lounge (Page Robinson, Room 310). We are dedicated to featuring student artwork that celebrates what home means to you. Art will be accepted in all forms – including, but not limited to, visual arts, film, poetry, music, dance, and more! We will display QR codes and host a virtual gallery to accommodate every art form. 

We encourage you to submit your pieces! Here is the process for submission: 

  • Create! The only guidelines is that the piece must represent what home means to you and is in alignment with the Global Brown Center’s values of community and inclusivity.
  • Submit this form by 5PM on February 27th, 2026 to enter your piece! If your piece is digital, submit it here! If it isn’t, please submit a photo of it and its dimensions, and indicate whether you would require a frame, printing, or any other support from us.
  • Hear back from us! Our Globe team will get back to you to inform you whether your piece will be included in the physical Global Gallery or if it will remain in the virtual Globe Gallery for now. There will be a rotation of pieces every semester and you can always submit a piece again!
    • Please note that while we would love to showcase everybody’s work, we are limited on space and must be realistic with the number of pieces we can show at one time. If you are not selected for the physical showing please do not be disheartened! It is by no means a reflection of the quality of your work, only of our limited space.
  • If selected, drop off your piece by Friday, March 6th! If you have any questions about the drop off process, email imp@brown.edu!
  • The grand opening will be on March 16th. Keep an eye on your inbox for an RSVP!
